Twelve hours in the car, 3 Open Days, 11 hours of interviews, 4 maths and English tests, 3 mini lessons taught, 1 presentation, 2 group interviews and 1 individual interview….. but it was all worth it as I was offered a place at all of the universities I applied for. The best possible outcome, giving me the choice of where I want to complete my PGCE in Primary Teaching in 2020/21.
I applied to the University of the West of England, the University of Gloucestershire and Bath Spa University. All have their merits, and I would have been happy to go to either, but in the end I shortlisted the University of Gloucestershire and Bath Spa University.
The final decision was a tough one, I really liked both the universities, the course profile and the staff I met at interview and the Open Days, but in the end I opted for Bath Spa University as they did edge it for me, I liked their ethos, their facilities and the fact that they have many partnership schools in my area.
Oh and I enjoyed seeing this smasher as I drove through the university grounds early on Wednesday morning.
So, in September I’m going back to university – exciting times ahead!
Oh wow! Well done you! Very brave 😊
